How to make a paper boat: step-by-step instructions. making a paper boat can seem tricky, so it’s good to have some written instructions to follow. lay out a rectangular piece of paper. if you are using patterned or printed paper, begin with the decorated side facing up so it will show on the outside of the boat; fold the sheet of paper in. Step 1: take a letter sized piece of paper and fold in half vertically, namely fold the top half down over the bottom half.the fold should be at the top. step 2: find the center point of your folded sheet by folding the left side over the right side on the center red line, and then unfold. step 3: fold downward both triangles on the red line. step 4: your paper should look like this.
folding a paper boat step by step This time though we took it a step further too see who can make the smallest origami boat – each time working with a smaller piece of paper (cutting the size of the paper to half each time) and i was genuinely surprised with the size of paper we have come down to – and too be honest we could probably do one even smaller if i’d have some. Fold in half top to bottom (and keep folded) put hands into hat shape, pull out and flatten to make diamond shape pull top points of diamond sideways to create ends of boat fold in top corners to middle fold fold bottom points to top points on both sides pull out sides of boat so it sits flat.. you're ready to set sail!.
